There are different types of landed houses in Singapore. They are mainly, Detached, Semi-detached and Terrace. However, do you know that the type of landed which you are allowed to build or redevelop is regulated by URA. This means that even if the land area and plot width is sufficient to construct a detached house, you may not rebuild an existing terrace or semi-detached house into a detached house.
Therefore, it is imperative to understand the allowable type of landed house which the plot of land is able to build before committing the purchase for redevelopment.
